girlfrommideel: (Just a portrait)
It had been a while since Victoria had been a Turk, but her skills had gotten no less sharp. When she first spotted Tseng walking through the streets nearby, she was very careful not to be seen. After all, if he was there, there was no telling who else might be close by. But it made her curious nonetheless. Was he really alone? If so...

A few minutes of scoping out the situation, and she managed to find herself casually leaning against a wall around the corner of a building he was about to pass by. If he'd looked that direction, he might have spotted her, but by chance he managed to get a few steps past her without actually looking that way. So she decided to get his attention.

"Hey, loverboy."

Name: Victoria (BC Player C - Shotgun)

Age: 29

Personality: Victoria’s background goes a long way toward explaining her outlook on life. As a child, her parents doted on her, telling her that she could do anything she really wanted to do, and providing the financial backing to do so. As a result, she is very confident, outgoing, and cheerful, and tends to expect things to go her way. Even so, she isn’t precisely spoiled; disappointments do happen sometimes, and she is able to pick herself up from them and try again. Whatever she has her sights set on, she knows that throwing a hissy fit typically isn’t the way to get it. Though depending on how much she wants whatever it is, she will just keep trying until she breaks through the wall, or decides that she didn’t really want it that much, anyway.

She enjoys a good challenge and likes to show off. If whatever she’s doing doesn’t seem like a big thing to her, she more often than not loses interest. She could have stayed in Mideel and taken over the family business like her parents had intended, but the idea of staying in one place and doing businessy things just didn’t appeal to her. Too much drudgery; she would rather be on some kind of adventure. Hunting held an allure for her as a hobby because of the unpredictability of it. She generally treats life as a kind of game, and because of that she can sometimes come across as a little insensitive to those around her. She’s never intentionally mean to people, but other people tend to take things more seriously than she does, and that can lead to misunderstandings. Despite this, she tends to get along with people fairly easily, and she doesn’t often stay on their bad side, though there are relatively few people she remains especially close to for any length of time. She is good at collecting information through conversation, and often remembers any bits of news or gossip she happens to hear.

Additionally, she’s highly independent. She would rather lend someone money than be lent it, and rather protect someone than be protected. This tends to come across as overconfidence, but somewhere underneath it, she worries that things always went well for her simply because of her situation, and that someday life is going to turn around and bite her for being raised as a spoiled rich kid, since she left that behind in favor of a less stable but more interesting life. And maybe, ultimately, she left home partially out of the desire to prove that she could be self-sufficient. Since she clearly isn’t fond of being tied down, one might wonder how she ended up as a Turk, that is, someone who is duty-bound to another person’s orders. But the job gives her enough freedom to follow those orders in her own way, and certainly enough excitement to keep her interested. And while she might prefer to see herself as entirely autonomous, she is drawn to some level of structure in her life; she would get a little lost without it.

Strengths: She is very skilled with a shotgun, and known as an expert marksman. She also has the kind of personal charm that comes from someone who is particularly confident and marches to the beat of her own drum. What she occasionally lacks in sensitivity, she makes up in cuteness and the fact that she is a generally caring person at her core. There are certainly people who will find her frustrating for various reasons, but for the most part she’s pretty well-liked and charismatic, and thus makes friends easily. Her bubbly nature is a little bit infectious and, when people aren’t rolling their eyes at her, she tends to make them smile. As working habits go, she is very capable of multitasking, and produces exceptional work on anything that manages to catch her attention.

Weaknesses: In terms of fighting ability, her skill is with a shotgun and not much else. She does know the basics of fighting without a weapon, or with other things, but if she is lacking her weapon of choice, she will be at a severe disadvantage. At that point, she would be much better served to run than to fight--if that’s an option. Her personality may also get her into trouble at times, given that she tends to be perhaps overly exuberant and just a bit naive. She isn’t stupid--she wouldn’t survive as a Turk if she was--but she does have a tendency to walk into situations perhaps a bit more openly than she really should. In terms of relating to people, there is the occasional misunderstanding that gets out of hand, and she often doesn’t know what she did to cause it. While it’s easy for her to initiate a friendship or a romantic relationship, her often flippant nature means that those relationships don’t go very deep, and in the case of the latter tend not to last very long. And while she may be very good at multitasking, she can’t focus on any one thing for very long unless it strikes her as truly captivating, and if it doesn’t strike her interest at all, she might be just as inclined to set it aside and never look at it again.

History: So there's the stuff in her BC profile. And then, um, she went some places and did some stuff with Gun. And then she ended up being a Turk again. ...that's it, really.
[You get what you ask for. :P]
girlfrommideel: (I'm a Turk)
[She waits for him to answer, then speaks with uncharacteristic hesitation.] I have news for you.
girlfrommideel: (I'm a Turk)
Landed in Corel.
girlfrommideel: (Awww)
So I'm going on a mission tomorrow. I'm excited! It's always nice to have something to do that's more interesting than hanging around the office. This type of stuff is what I signed up for, way back when.

Tseng was the one that told me about this. He's barely talked to me since I got back here... I don't know what that means. I guess it's been a while since we saw each other, just here and there, but it's just... all business, now. Is he being twitchy because I'm technically working for him again?

Really, someone needs to teach that boy how to relax. Except I thought I had.

[ooc: This was written on Tseng's computer. Which she used without permission. Hell, she's done that before. Old habits die hard? She emailed this to herself, as she sometimes does with random private thoughts when she doesn't have any better way to record them, but maybe she just... conveniently forgot to log out of her email. So this will be waiting for Tseng whenever he comes back to his office.]
